We'll level with you: "Group from Lutheran East" is all it said on the tape box. We can't write much more about what isn't there to write. That's likely Thomas Boddie's control-room voice in the intro's "Take 1" call, and the group in question was simply another bunch of high school hopefuls, dropping in on Boddie Recording Company to tape their doleful lonely-hearts soul ballad and cast it away, message-in-bottle-style, to the care of lengthy oblivion.
